Lets talk about the function ytd.
It was perfect!
No mistakes at all.

See.. for once in my entire life in swissotel.. i finally become the first person to pick up food from the kitchen for more than 3 times!

It feel great sia.
Faster than the VIP server la.. haha!
kns.. for every course still have to wait for at least 5 mins for the VIP server to come.
Some times wait till 10 mins..zzz.. and i wait alone in the kitchen. No other bqt staff la.. got a bunch of chefs onli.. haha!

Cool.. everytime first.. haha!
The team leaders also amazed la..lol!

Ok.. enuff of bragging.
Let me tell u why am i always so quick.
Cos.. today is 2 ppl to 3 tabels and 1 of my table is a reserved table.
And it happen that there is noone at the reserve table.. so become 2 ppl serving 2 tables and my partner is a super experienced food server.. so.. we are damn fast.

fast till a point that when i pick up my next dish.. the last few servers still haven pick up the previous course yet.. haha.

neh mind.. i know dom is gonna killme for bragging..lol!

what a day.
Bowling with dom in the morning till afternoon.
we played 15 games each.
not tiring at all la.. haha.
Dom said not to blog about how lousy he bowled. So i m not going to blog about how lousy he bowled :P!

well..
Went to uncle's wedding after that.
Its at swissotel.
Saw a number of familar banquet staff there.
saw puay shian.. SP.. Florence.. and some aunties.
oh.. it was fun to ka jiao them.

Then after that.. planned to take mrt back with sp and ys. Then they so super slow.. we missed the last train.
had to call dom to ask for directions to the bus 80 stop.
Then it rained like hell while we were walking to the bus stop.
we were drenched.
Then.. the bus trip was so long..zz
ok.. after sending the girls home i had to walk home! cos no lrt liao.. from compass point to rivervale crest.. its abt 1.8km?

Alright..
The function on Christmas eve was the best i have ever served in.
It was almost perfect.
I was not slow..
the guest are poilte.
They even joked with me.
Where can u find such good guest?
haha.. onli on my table!

Well.. almost perfect except for the last dish.
Baked Alaska.
Its a cake la..
we suppose to light up brandy and pour the lighted brandy onto the cake.. and let it.. 'cook' for 10 sec.. and it will go off la.

First time serving it.. quite fun.. haha.
The first table was cool.. the brandy caught fire right away.. and everything was nice.

Then the second table.. KNN.. the brandy just wun catch fire la.
Wth.. i tried.. 3 times.. failed.
Team leader jasper tried. Failed.
Dom tried. Failed.
KNN.. then kena scolded by jasper.. shit him la.. he also cannot light the shit wad.

The reason is because the brandy cooled down in air con la.. so cannot catch fire.
My fault ah?
The stupid brandy ownself cool down de..lol!

But nvm.. its still nice :D
Then after that went out to walk with JH DOM and XS.. took dumb pictures.. haha.

but the Assistant Manager Matnor recognise us..lol.. and kicked us out.
Then a team leader saw us outside standing and let us in.. haha!

The training not as interesting as before la.. cos Matnor not that humourous.
Lokeman is funnier la.. haha!
Oh wel.. got more ppl to join me at working liao.. haha!

yea.. the bread at the hotel is damn nice sia.

Its left over from breakfast la.. but its nice.. wow!

We went out half way thru the training.. to meet JH and took pay.
$108 from 3 days of work.. haha.
oh well.. need to multiply by 3 to buy a new bowling ball.. haha!

ok.. then DOm pei JH to china town and then Sx Zx Sp Zn Ys and I went to BK to play cards sia..lol. Bridge!

Now the training notes is so detailed. They tell u exactly what to do.. step by step. Its really step by step la.
Last time we have to pick it up ourselves sia.. those were the tough times.
But now.. we become professional part timers liao!
Its time to guide this new batch of noobs!! hahahah!

It sound so nice man.. at a roll call Team Leader Praba told the Manager, 'Today i have a bunch of professionals.' and he pointed to all of us, 'they are all professional servers'.

Wedding again.

And i still have to help my drink server sia!
I tot drink server suppose to help us also la.. she neh help de..zzz

Hm.. quite proud of myself actually.
No help at all and can complete all the course.. and i m not the last one to complete la.
Ranked around the middle ba.

Haha.. then another drink server beside me was quite impressed.
She said, 'wa.. u can serve 2 tables so quickly? i last time 1 table dying liao."

haha.. proud of myself.. but i know i can do better.
sian.. actually wanted to be the first few to complete de.. sian diao.. not skillful enough ba.
And somemore i work with 1 side station onli.

2 tables shd have 2 de la.. i had 2 la.. but my drink server 'kop' one.. zzz.. so i left with 1 pathetic side station to work with.

And the place is bloody squeezy.. they neh take care of staff welfare de la.. think so squeezy can work efficiently meh. So many ppl jam in one place... then must wait for them to clear first.
Time lost sia..

In the ballroom.. its like a 'battlefield' la.. every minute every second, every move u make is so impt.

what do i mean?
Lets say.. u have 2 tables.. and u cleared onli 1 table and then bring the used plates and dish out.. then come in to clear another table.. this is time lost. cos u need to travel 2 times.
Shd clear all tgt.. go out of the ballroom.. place it at the clearing pt.. then travel straight to kitchen and pick up.. really save alot of time sia. cos the clearing pt is also close to kitchen sometimes.. haha.

see wad i mean now? if u keep making wrong move ah.. waste lots of time de sia!

oh man.. next week wed no free slot.. sian.
Aiya.. today 'kop' so many ribbons home la..lol.. put in pocket then forget to return haha. aiya.. din manage to get their chocolate.

started work at 5pm ytd.
Do nothing de..lol.. still ask us go back so early for wad sia..
all the settings done liao.. so kept us occupied by asking us to clean the utensils..lol.

anyway.. there are 5 weddings going on and so coincident, i was working in zinc's cousin wedding..lol.. and ZINCCCC and her sis is the MC for the night.

DIn really go hear her voice la.. cos too bz leh.. just heard her voice in the background.. haha!

Today partnered Dom sia.. we 2 to 3.. but later got one extra girl, she helped us abit too. But the whole thing was quite sucky la. We were lagging behind sia.

A minor reason is cos DOm.. for the first dish went to serve it to other ppl's table..lol.
Then the major reason.. we have 3 tables.. and they eat damn slow la..zzz.
And some more got one table only have 6-8 guest.. wa lao.. portion so nicely for them.. they just left it on the lazy susan.. neh touch at all.

Sian diao.. then we need to chiong like siao la.. luckily sort of caught up ba..

I hate these type of guest la.. mouth so big.. eat so slow. #$%$#!!!

The key chain door gift was nice.. wa. And one guest din bring it home. So.. i 'kop' it la.

Then on the right lane is a bunch of kids. OMG! i hate it when i m disturbed during bowling!

Then they throw the ball right into their gutter and it bounces up and into my lane.. into my gutter. WTH! Waste my spare..zzz..

And 2 lanes away.. and bunch of noobs there. They had some outing ba.. 9 ppl on each lane.. waa.. crazy. Anyway.. they kept looking at me.. not cos i handsome.. cos i had a number of x x x.. 3 consec strikes (turkey).

SP lent me her Bicycle Playing Cards. It is pretty cool. The smooth texture and cool design. Very nice. It cost $8 per pack la.. erps.. but its specially designed for flourishes. But i dun do flourish.. buy for wad sia? haha.

Christmas is about 20 days away?
I m going to prepare fo christmas.
When we are young, we used to watch cartoons.. and when christmas arrive, these characters will hang up socks by their fire place. Then santa clause will place the gifts in the socks.. haha!

I m going to hang up a sock this year.
it have got to be like 160cm in heigh at least.. so that santa can fit u into my huge sock. And probably 60 cm in width..

So we 3 ppl attending to 2 tables.. and some more western dinner.. chicken feet sia. Slacker's job.
Haven got rusty yet leh.. i think i m still doing quite fine. No major mistakes.. haha.. cool sia, everything is just so fine.

Step back into the same old place. The same old feeling came back to me. Its hard to describe that feeling. Its like.. once i m inside, i will forget and tend not to think of anything other than serving the guest and interacting with other staffs. Thats all.
