There's probably 20 plus junior bakers from my batch that enrolled tgt into the bakery.
1 left.
1 leaving tml.
2 leaving before the month ends.
a few more considering to leave.
Baking cheese cake is serious business.
It such a difficult job that we have a bunch of ppl leaving every month.
I am also considering if i should stay and continue to bake cheese cake.
or leave and start selling ice cream.
i realized there's is there is no point working extra hard.
My company told me to bake 13 cheese cake per hour.
I am seriously going to bake just 13 cheese cake per hour.
i can bake up to 16 cheese cake/hr, but.. what's the point?
The more cheese cake i bake, the more mistakes there is.
Noone is going to say "hey great job! you baked 16 cheese cakes/hr!"
neither are they going to say "good job, you have baked so many delicious cheese case"
no compliments.
However..
if you screw up one single cheese cake, the head baker is going to kill you.
the whole damn world is going to come after you for that one screwed up cheese cake.
Noone is going to care how many thousand of good cheese cake you baked before.

once again, i am craving for some $2.00 cheese cake.
went back to the same old bakery that i go my cheese cake from the last time.
despite sawing the huge sign indicating "self-service" + tongs + trays in-front of the cashier,
i told the cashier " hi, i want one piece of cheese cake"
The cashier indicated politely to me that its "self service" and i can select the pastry using the tongs & trays provided.
Irritated, i demanded " hello, i am your customer C-U-S-T-O-M-E-R , i am buying a $2.00 cheese cake. IT IS 2.00 FREAKING DOLLARS! NOT 2 CENTS!"
"I AM SPENDING 2 FREAKING DOLLARS AND YOU CANT HELP ME GET THE CHEESE CAKE?"
" THIS IS CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE OK! I WANT TO TALK TO YOUR MANAGER. WHERE'S YOUR MANAGER?!?!?!"

You know, i bought this piece of cheese cake 2 years ago @ $2.00 at a bakery.
After buying it, i realized that the cashier charged me wrongly.
There's suppose to be a 50% off the cheese cake.
However, i did not tell the cashier about the wrong charges at that point of time.
Instead, i decided to wait till 2 years later, go back to the same bakery and make a fuss about the damn piece of cheese cake which i bought 2 years ago.
"i want a refund of $1.00 for the damn cheese cake i bought 2 years ago. LOOK HERE'S MY RECEIPT FROM 2 YEARS BACK!"

I don't find my job interesting at all.
Probably a few weeks ago, i found this job interesting and challenging because i wasn't able to hit the quota.
And was constantly challenging myself to hit target.
Now that i am able to hit the quota and even exceed, i found it pretty meaningless.
It's like.. "wth am i doing here?"
how i wish i am not me.
because being me sucks big time.
if only i can be... someone else.

There's a reason why i hate reading romance novels.
and it has always been the same reason - bad & sad endings.
that's why i stopped reading them for awhile.
A couple of weeks back when i visited a bookstore,
came across a book lying alone on the half empty shelf.
being curious, i picked it up, and had a look at the cover page.
The title wasn't catchy at all.
Another one of those typical romance novel.
i tossed it back onto the shelf and went off.
A week later, i revisited the same bookstore again.
That same book was lying at the same position as i had left it last week.
"Din't the shopkeeper tidy the place?" i thought to myself.
I picked it up and decided to place it nicely on the shelf.
Being curious, i began to read the synopsis at the back of the book.
"not bad" i thought to myself.
However based on previous experiences, nice synopsis does not equate to nice ending.
Despite having a bad feeling about the ending, i bought the book.
The first couple of chapters were nice - as usual.
Things began to change in the third chapter.
I realized that it is not a bright & cheerful novel as described in the synopsis.
Got cheated once again.
This book cost me freaking $15.90!
But i really hate sad romance novels.
i stare down at the book now, pondering if i should continue reading, or toss them into my cupboard like i did with all the other half-read books.
should i quit? lol.
there are a few people from my batch are planning to quit the damn job.
i dont mind a lower salary as long as i dun have to get the " I-am-ur-customer-so-you-better-do- whatever-damn-thing-i-say-or-i-am-going-to-complaint-to-your-manager-and-terminate-all-my-services" attitude everyday.

Had a gathering with my NS collegues.
Only left them like 2 mths back however it seem like a long period of time.
working back then and working now seem different.
It feels more safe back then.
You know your partner will be there to watch your back.
you know your team will be there to back you up if any thing happens.

There wont be anyone to save you if you are in trouble,
you are on your own.
Its going to be 2010 in 1hr plus.
Time really flies.

Pretty cool high school show about this lawyer who became a teacher in the worst high school in city. He vows to get 5 students into the best university in the country. An almost impossible task to be completed within a year.

About Japan's hospital politics and a few doctor who are passionate about saving lives. Very nice and touching drama. I think there should be a season 3 coming up soon.

yesterday was the first day at training.
gosh.. information overload.
so tiring.
today is the second day at training.
luckily.. no information overload..
but.. still super tired.
for these past 2 mornings while heading for work,

just came back not too long ago.
went out with a bunch of 0806 ppl.
the thing started out with only jason and zx at raffles place.
i arrived subsequently.. and join them for dinner.
marsh and zinc arrived only after our dinner.
we watched them ate..lol.
attempted to find a nice spot for the fireworks, however we gave up.
decided to watch movie, and after a freaking long time we settled on the local film "where got ghost" at cathay screening at 0140hrs.
so we made our day to The Settlers and enjoyed ourselves there in the meant time.
ck and ys join us at The Settlers.
took some retarded photos..lol
hock came at 1am plus and joined us for the show.
interesting.
its not exactly a horror story.
i found it quite funny..lol.. but most of the dialogues are in hokkien, it will be a plus if you can understand hokkien.
there is a learning to bring back home in every story.
cabbed back to sengkang with ys.
thats 10 bucks per person.. if i was alone i would have waited 2 more hours for the first train.. haha.
wa i am so pro.. only slept 4 hours after my night shift yesterday and still can hold up for the whole night.

i used to be into pen manipulation 5 years back and quitted after secondary school.
during that time, i bought like few hundred pens and now they are all in my cupboard.
recently, while browzing through the web i saw this out-of-production pen was retailing for USD$10 each. I dug through my collections and found 64 of those pens all kept nicely in a box. Got them 5 years ago for SGD $2-$3 per pen. Muhahahahaha!!!!
